NOW CASTING: OLF (Feature Film)

RtSE Casting® Company is spearheading a national talent search for the lead role in the upcoming feature film OLF, directed by acclaimed filmmaker and visionary Ayoka Chenzira. And ladies and gentlemen, this search is different.

THE STORY:

OLF follows Henry "Olf" Logan Jr., a plumber with an extraordinary sense of smell, who travels to Grasse, France, the perfume capital of the world, hoping to break into the fragrance industry, only to be turned away. Returning home, Olf is forced to confront his relationship with his father while discovering a new sense of identity, ultimately creating a fragrance unlike anything the world has experienced.

Written and directed by Ayoka Chenzira, OLF is a story about the people who shape us, the memories that define us, and the power of scent to bring us home.

We are looking across the country for an extraordinary actor who can carry a deeply layered story about family, memory, identity, legacy and the senses that connect us to the people and places we love.

In this instance, a recognizable name is not the only way to get you into the room. Exceptional talent can get you there, too. And once you're in the room, what you do with the opportunity is up to you.

MEET THE DIRECTOR:

Ayoka Chenzira is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Her directing credits include Queen Sugar (OWN), Trinkets (Netflix), A League of Their Own (Amazon/Sony), Kindred (FX/Hulu), Dynasty (CW), and Beacon 23 (MGM), along with her acclaimed feature Alma's Rainbow.

THE ROLE:

OLF (Henry "Olf" Logan Jr.) Lead.

We are searching for:

• a Black male actor

• looks in the age range of 25 - 35,

• with presence, emotional depth, intelligence, vulnerability, and the ability to command the screen without forcing it.

• Think less about "playing a leading man." Think about an actor who makes you feel something before he ever says a word.

• Filming location(s), Georgia & Grasse France (MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE PASSPORT)

• start date,

• Union: SAG - AFTRA

• Compensation: SAG SCALE / Negotiable based on experience

HOW THE SEARCH WILL WORK:

This is not an open or traditional casting call. For this search, we are leaving no stone unturned. Our eyes will be everywhere: professional actors, emerging talent, acting studios and coaches, Black theatre companies, HBCU theatre and film programs, agents, managers, and creative communities across the country.

This is neither an open nor a traditional casting call.

The first phase will be conducted electronically through RtSE Casting and our professional outreach network, alongside Breakdown Services and Actors Access. Initial consideration requires basic actor information and a current headshot only. No audition is required at this stage. Selected actors will receive audition materials and instructions directly from RtSE Casting® Company and may advance through additional rounds, with a small number ultimately invited to audition in person.
